How to Relieve Headaches Naturally

Dull aches, migraines, cluster headaches - there are many kinds of headaches. Unfortunately, many people just “suffer through” the discomfort of these headaches. There are many methods to help alleviate the discomfort you might experience during a migraine or headache.
Lights Out!

Lay down in a cool, dark room. Lights can often intensify the symptoms of a headache.
Cold is Key!

Put a cold cloth or an ice pack on your forehead or the back of your head. The cool feeling of the ice/cloth against your head can help relax the veins and muscles in your head and neck.
Relax with a Bath!

Get into a nice, warm bath and make sure your feet are in the warm/hot water. Place a cold cloth or ice pack on your forehead or against the back of your head. The contrasting temperatures have a relaxing effect. You can also add your favorite scented oil or bubble bath. Peppermint, lavender, and eucalyptus are known to help with headache pain.
Get Adjusted!

If you have a headache and don’t feel like getting out of bed on the day of a chiropractic appointment, that is the actually the BEST time to come in. Headaches can often be caused by pressure in the sinuses or a spinal misalignment. Getting an adjustment when you have a headache can actually correct these issues and relieve the discomfort!
